Everyone’s Challenge: Improving Your People Skills

(two day workshop)

When you increase your skills in working with other people, you increase your ability to succeed in almost all aspects of work and life.

Do you wish you had more effective ways to:

  • Better understand why people react the way they do
  • Learn more about yourself and how you affect others
  • Listen and really understand
  • Handle difficult or delicate situations
  • Avoid or resolve unnecessary conflicts
  • Stand up for yourself without offending others
  • Turn around relationships that have gone sour
  • Build harmonious relationships that work for both parties
  • Be the best team player you can be
  • Get the results you want in interactions with others
  • Make changes in your own interpersonal skills and habits

During these two days, you will examine the principles involved in increasing your people skills. You will have an opportunity to integrate these principles into your thinking and to practice several techniques. When you leave, you will have a more solid understanding of what works with people and why, and what doesn’t work and why. The focus is not on changing personality but on building skills.

You will do some self-analysis and develop a plan for changing behavior patterns that have not worked for you in the past. If you come to the workshop with a sense of what is working for you now and what is not, you will leave with a plan of action for changing the latter.
