Cal Sutliff has been training people and consulting with organizations for more than twenty years. His clients include Fortune 500 companies, smaller organizations, non-profits, professional societies, unions, and a variety of government clients. He annually leads a number of workshops for the Management Development Program of Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
Since starting his own management training firm in 1981, he has trained thousands of employees, managers, and board members, as well as other trainers. Prior to that, he held senior administrative positions in business, concentrating his career in service industries. He is a writer and a speaker.
His training workshops are known for their practical, “how-to” quality, which is focused on helping people shift perceptions, develop new skills, and, especially, to change behaviors. His trainings are highly rated by participants and the organizational call-back rate (requests to do additional trainings) is consistently over eighty percent.
He coaches individual managers and also works with a variety of athletes on the mental training dimension in their sport. He is author of Skating Out of Your Mind, a book on mental training for competitive figure skaters.
